Phoonk 2 is the sequel of movie Phoonk. Phoonk 2 will begin with Ashwini Kalsekar's ghost killing the tantrik (Zakir Hussain) at the very start and entering Sudeep's wife's (Amruta Khanvilkar) body.

The sequel to Phoonk, this film has the same villain, Madhu; with one difference: in the first part she was using Black Magic against Rajiv's family, in the second she comes back as a ghost to seek revenge against them.

Rajiv moves to a new place with his wife and children. Their initial excitement of living in a beautiful house that is close to the beach turns into mortal fear when weird and deathly incidents keep happening to them very often. Obviously the doings of a ghost, Madhu's ghost to be precise, will they succeed in defending themselves? Or will she get what she she has wanted all her life: their death?
